Daily Management

Once policies are deployed throughout the organization and SGA's or Kaizen workshops and Kaikaku's are started, a follow-up instrument is needed to ensure that all levels in the organization stick to working standards and PQDCSM targets.  This is where daily management, also called performance management, comes in.

At the workfloor it is a way to monitor quality, productivity and on-time-delivery at the hourly level.

For the first line management, production and office management, it is monitoring at the daily and weekly level.

For top management on a weekly and monthly basis and so on.

In practice a constructive meeting dialogue, monitors deviation from PQDCSM targets, searches for root causes, and formulates corrective and preventive actions. The result are many small kaizen (improvements) that over time lead to measurable improvement and new ideas for SGA's or kaizen workshops.

The dialogue agenda can be structured in SDCA or PDCA format.
