Small Group Activities

The basis of a Small Group Activity or Kaizen workshop is Mr. Deming's PDCA improvement circle (Plan-Do-Check-Act). A multifunctional team follows an eight step approach, from problem definition through to lasting improvement. The members of the team are both owners of the problem and capable of solving it.  Root cause analysis, standardization and sustainment are key steps in the approach.

                 

 

The SGA team is also trained in several types of communication skills such as decision making and active listening. An SGA team tackles problems on the shop floor in an active and motivated manner.
